Susan Rambo Sampler - WIP

Here's my latest obsession...the Susan Rambo Sampler, the cover girl from the current issue of SANQ.  I'm using a single strand of DMC on 32 ct linen (whose origin I cannot recall at the moment).  Based on another blogger's comments about the NPI colors, I'm glad I decided to stick with DMC.

This is my very first reproduction sampler so it's been interesting to recreate the well, not mistakes...the originality of the motifs.  Not all are symmetrical, not all punctuation is correct, but those things make it endearing.  However, my OCD tendencies have been challenged haha.

For the last 2 weeks I have forsaken all knitting to work on this sampler...that's almost unimaginable to me!  Also took the plunge & boldly started in the "ULHC" (upper left hand corner)....hard to break a lifetime habit of starting in the middle.   Hope to post major progress in a few weeks.

Sarah Rambo is definitely on my "to do" list. I didn't see the other bloggers comments about the NPI colors though....can you share what they were?

You've made wonderful progress and it must surely have captured your interest if you're not knitting!

I just love this as well. I loved your colors so I think the DMC is a good choice.

That is so beautiful, Kris. When I saw it in the magazine, I thought "meh", but it is really colorful in person. I really like the DMC colors. YGG!

Very pretty!! Punctuation mistakes...! You are a better woman than I; I would have had to correct them!

So beautiful Kris - I'll have to go back and review that issue of SANQ - I can't wait to see Susan in person. Sorry I missed the opportunity at guild but soon .....
